Jane is currently a second year graduate student at Georgetown University working towards a PhD in Psychology and a Masters of Public Policy. She began her journey into the crazy world of academia (and the even crazier world of numerical cognition) at The University of Western Ontario where she completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and worked as a research assistant for two years. Her experiences at Western introduced her to value that developmental research can have for education and she developed a strong interest in this area. At Georgetown, she is interested in the development of basic numerical skills and predictors of later math achievement. Overall, she aims to contribute to the expanding field of Mind, Brain and Education by conducting research that is informative for early childhood math education and policy.
